"The Internet Has No Eraser" - Liz Strauss
One of the most difficult questions to answer is, "What are you passionate about?" When I was assigned to make a passion blog, I thought about what I do in my free time, what I like to read about, and anything I spend my time doing. I do not think you can pinpoint one passion and you are considered fortunate if you discover your passion early on. The fact everything remains in the cyber world forever made it difficult to decide on a theme for my passion blog. The majority of my posts deal with food and cooking, but other posts reflect on something relevant at the time.
Passion
My passion blog ranges from posts about discovering the different dining options at Penn State to telling about my job back home in a quaint Amish bakery. Ever since I was little I was intrigued by my grandmother's cooking and heritage. Now, in college, learning about cooking at such a young age has developed into one of my passions. Following recipes step by step has grown into modifying some of my favorite recipes and looking for alternative ingredients.
Civic Issues/ Rhetoric and Civic LifeThe other components of my RCL Blog are the RCL and Civic Issues Categories. The RCL portion consists mainly of extra credit posts from events attended over the course of the semester, outlines/rough drafts of projects, and various rhetorical analyses. The Civic Issues portion are longer blog posts about thought provoking, relevant issues. My civic issues posts were about equality in the workplace and the posts discussed wages, school uniforms, and other related topics.
